A busy Wednesday night playing solo piano and vocals at Larsen’s Steakhouse Valencia.  People love classic rock, 60’s hits, 70’s hits and 80’s hits!  I also played some jazz standards and did several classic Christmas tunes.  But the favorites were songs from the pop/rock area, including a rousing rendition of Rocket Man by Elton John.

White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane went over well, and I also did New York State Of Mind by Billy Joe, which was requested by a guest.  A rousing rendition of Purple Rain was very well received.

Tunes by Cat Stevens, The Eagles, Happy Together by The Turtles, some Beatles (always Beatles!!) like Yesterday, Get Back, All My Lovin’ and In My Life.

Jazz stuff included Day & Night, New York, NY, Misty, Fly Me To The Moon, All Of Me and several others.

Contemporary hits included Hello by Adele, New Shoes by Paolo Nutini, and several others I’m not remembering….

This was a fun night celebrating the holiday season while also just playing a lot of great songs to help create a festive atmosphere for the guests of the restaurant.

Larsen’s is a great venue with friendly staff and the customers are great people and fun to play for!
