Pianist, Vocalist – Dozens of Gigs and More Coming!

2018 has been filled with dozens of pianist vocalist gigs, with dozens more already booked!  I love making people happy with the magic of music!  whether it’s private events, weddings, art shows and openings, five star restaurants, country clubs, special performances for seniors, playing piano and singing at an outdoor cafe, it just keeps getting better!

The last several months I’ve been working on adding a lot of new repertoire, including a number of contemporary pop/rock songs and several jazz classics. It’s always awesome when I’m able to make someone’s day by playing a song they request – and when people sing along or jump up dancing!  Marvelous!!!

I was recently asked to play at a special art show in North Hollywood – I played cocktail piano style – ambient background music – very smooth, bordering on a new-age feel, which I love doing – it allows for some improvisation and combining different styles, just on solo piano, all instrumental.

Larsen’s Steakhouse in Valencia is a fabulous venue for me – playing the lovely Yamaha baby grand piano they have in the bar section of the restaurant.  The atmosphere is great, the staff are awesome, and the guests who patronize the restaurant are awesome people who appreciate live instrumental piano music.

For senior living, it’s a great feature for me to be able to perform jazz classics, rock music, oldies – singing and rocking the piano to bring some lively magic to people’s day!  I’m performing regularly now at over 30 different Senior Living facilities all over the Los Angles area, including Glendale, Pasadena, Burbank, Northridge, West Hills, Woodland Hills, the West Valley, Newhall and Santa Clarita. I’m also doing dates in Santa Monica and Monrovia, Temple City, Culver City and more…

One of the greatest things about performing as a solo pianist/vocalist is that I get to “rub elbows” with all kinds of wonderful people!  Los Angeles IS a golden city full of amazing people who have contributed amazing things to our society.  At recent gigs, I’ve met such amazing people, such as a clarinet player who played with Sinatra and the Big Bands, a former roommate of the woman who wrote the lyrics, of “The Way You Look Tonight” and other major hist that Frank Sinatra recorded, a personal friend of Liberace, and a lady who was an illustrator of top secret technical publications used by the astronauts who landed on the moon!

Playing music at private events, corporate parties, weddings, formal gatherings, five star restaurants, country clubs, birthdays, etc., is a tremendous joy for me.  If you need some musical magic at your next event – I’m ready to be there!
